Visit this historically rich reserve and see the recovery from the 2003 fire that burned the majority of this ecological reserve. Enjoy a variety of seasonal wildflowers in bloom. This is an easy 3 mile hike with an elevation gain/loss of up to 200 feet. 9ñ11 AM. (El Cajon/Crest) From I-8, exit east on Greenfield Dr. and go 0.5 mile. Turn left on La Cresta Rd. and go 3.1 miles. Turn left onto Mountain View Rd. and go 1.2 miles. Turn left on Horsemill Rd. and go 0.6 mile. Park at end of street at signed entry to the reserve. Facilities. (GPS N32.828041, W116.856170) We are always hoping to see wildlife. Please leave dogs at home and come enjoy nature.
